What is in the future for the tax on electricity?

Just a few days ago we echoed about the controversy that the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court were holding on account of the tax on the value of electricity production (IVPEE), when we breakfasted with the struggle between Partido Popular and the Government for being the one that would sooner plead for its suppression. If even political rivals agree that it is tax figure contrary to general interests, and that has boosted the price of electricity in Spain, there is little chance of survival in the short term.

Funcas has published Equipo Económico (Ee) updated forecasts in its exclusive panel of experts on the main magnitudes of the Spanish economy. The panel is a survey conducted by Funcas every two months among 18 institutions and companies of recognized prestige, on the predictions of the Spanish economy. On the basis of replies to this survey, the "consensus" forecasts can be provided, which is calculated as the arithmetic average of the 18 individual forecasts.
